Why Should I Fertilize My Lawn in the Fall?
Fall fertilizing is a crucial step in restoring your lawn to a healthy state.  Fertilizing will help grass roots develop and strengthen so that your lawn will survive the winter. Winter Survival Fall Lawn Food contains humates, which aids in root development, is low in Nitrogen, providing a well balanced formula ideal for winter turf protection, and includes iron, to give the lawn a deep-green color.

It is Not Too Late to Overseed Your Lawn this Fall!
We recommend seeding and fertilizing your lawn.  If you have not had a chance to you still have time.  This month be sure to reseed any damaged areas with Jonathan Green’s Fall Magic or another Black Black Beauty Grass Seed Mixtures.  The same day you seed, also apply New Seeding Lawn Food or Winter Survival Fall Lawn Food to gently feed your lawn and promote healthy root growth.

Continue to Mow
Be sure you continue to mow your lawn this fall but don’t cut it short yet. When the grass is cut too short, it puts stress on the plant and the roots slow down their growth.  When the grass is mowed at the correct height, the roots can keep developing and the grass will thrive.  Keep your mower blade sharp through the fall or it will rip and tear the grass.  When the grass is torn it becomes weak and susceptible to diseases and lawn insect pests.
